Our Creative Capsule Year 1 Residents will be presenting the projects they’ve incubated. Come get inspired!
What is the Creative Capsule Residency?
Presented by Inkstick Media and Bombshelltoe Policy x Arts Collective, the
Creative Capsule Residency is an eighth-month-long program for early/mid-career artists, activists, policy scholars, educators, and students to pursue a research project on foreign policy through creative visual or written media, such as journalism, creative writing, audio reporting, or performance art.
This program encourages participants to share their expertise beyond traditional academic and policy frameworks such that they can experiment with new modes of storytelling, take provocative risks, and imagine a radical workspace that welcomes the interweaving of policy and creativity.
In addition, residents benefit from the guidance of a multidisciplinary panel of expert advisors as they work toward developing and publishing work that will be disseminated online via Inkstick Media and its channels and/or presented in physical form or events.
Our inaugural class 2021-2022 dove deep into identity, the outdoors and nuclear memory; built speculative worlds using satire and artistry to explore nuclear dystopias; and reported on nuclear trauma on the ground in Ukraine. Join us to hear them present their projects, processes and experiences.
