I heard a Republican make the case years ago, before I even went into the administration, and he was saying that even if you don’t believe in climate change — and you really should believe in climate change — even if you didn’t, wouldn’t you want to move away from fossil fuels just given the fact that so many countries that we have problems with need fossil fuels to sustain their economies? From a simple national security perspective, investment in green tech has a side benefit.
