Josh Weinberg
Josh Weinberg served as an Army officer for over 10 years in conventional and special operations units, including deployments to southern Afghanistan and the Middle East, most recently deploying to Yemen in 2015 as the Director of Intelligence for US Special Operations Forces. After returning from the Middle East, Josh served as the interagency representative for Special Operations Command in Washington DC focused on coordinating policy and operations against the Islamic State. Josh was previously posted as a Senior Strategic Analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Pentagon Joint Staff where he advised senior military leadership and cabinet officials, including regular contributions to the President’s Daily Briefing. Josh holds a Master’s Degree in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Josh is a member of the Truman National Security Project, Veterans for Smart Power, and Jewish War Veterans of the United States.
