Anashua Dutta is the assistant editor for Inkstick. She developed a passion for immigrant and refugee rights during her undergraduate studies, which led her to Morocco, where she conducted research on the human rights implications of the country's new migration policy, and to Boston, where she worked for the only organization offering pro bono legal services to immigrant detainees in Massachusetts. Anashua worked for Amnesty International USA where she was acting deputy campaigner on the crisis & tactical campaign and supported the refugee rights and family detention campaigns. She is now a citizenship teacher at Washington English Center.
